NFL Week 5 Power Rankings
by Al Simmons

Brett Favre got his revenge against the Packers on Monday Night Football. The Saints, Colts, Giants looked impressive once again.

All NFL betting fans, here are my Week 5 NFL Power Rankings.

1. New Orleans Saints: this week they won because of their defense. The Saints may no longer be a one-dimensional team.

2. Indianapolis Colts: Should we be thinking on Peyton Manning for MVP already?

3. New York Giants: second game in the season where they get relaxed at the end, not a good idea, right Steelers?

4. Minnesota Vikings: Favre’s revenge part 1 completed. See you cheese heads in November.

5. Baltimore Ravens: Ravens D is allowing too many points. Need to get back to the Baltimore basics.

6. New York Jets: Mark Sanchez reminds us he is still rookie.

7. New England Patriots: the duo Brady and Moss seems to be back.

8. San Francisco 49ers: the real 49ers played only the second half.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers: they are not playing like champions and now the entire league knows their secondary has a big hole up the middle without Troy Polamalu.

10. Atlanta Falcons: after a bye week they visit the 49ers in very good matchup this upcoming week.

11. Chicago Bears: Matt Forte’s coming out party.

12.Denver Broncos: The Broncos are 4-0 for the first time since 2003. Their D seems to be for real.

13. San Diego Chargers: did anyone on the Chargers coaching staff realize that Polamalu wasn’t playing this last Sunday night?

14. Cincinnati Bengals: gave away a 14 point lead against a mediocre Browns team, but won it in overtime.

15. Green Bay Packers: their offensive line can’t protect their #1 asset Aaron Rogers.

16. Dallas Cowboys: Tony Romo had zero TD passes for the second straight game.

17. Philadelphia Eagles: McNabb is back to practice and the Eagles will face the Bucs after the bye week.

18. Arizona Cardinals: they are preparing for a shootout against the Texans next week.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars: Garrard had a treat against the worst secondary in the league. Don’t expect big games out of him every week.
20. Houston Texans: will the real Steve Slaton please stand up.

21. Seattle Seahawks: Jim Mora needs Hasselbeck to come back soon if they want to save the season.

22. Miami Dolphins: finally a mistake free game.

23. Buffalo Bills: the Bills are 0-8 vs. AFC East teams since to 2008.

24. Washington Redskins: despite the win Jason Campbell threw three interceptions. QB needed in Washington.

25. Tennessee Titans: the team is a complete mess. They miss their defensive coordinator more than they miss Hanyesworth

26. Detroit Lions: second week in a row when the offense put up enough points on the board to win. Stafford’s injury should have them worried though.

27. Cleveland Browns: the Browns dropped to 0-4 for the first time since 1999.

28. Oakland Raiders: JaMarcus Russell is simply awful. Raiders won’t win with him throwing the ball

29. Carolina Panthers: they will look for their first of the season against Washington next week.

30. Kansas City Chiefs: the Chiefs have lost both eight straight overall and at home.

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Bucs were held to just 85 total yards in the second half.

32. St. Louis Rams : they appear to be the Lions of 08.
